When you are visiting Las Vegas there is no right or wrong way. The city is a vast playground and there is most certainly something to be found for everyone. Of course, if you are a newbie to Sin City it is easy to become overwhelmed and many a newcomer may have found her or himself empty handed after spending all of their gambling money at one establishment, only to find out later that there were plenty more. To ensure that you will not suffer a similar fate on your next trip to this gambling Mecca, here are some winning ways to tour and see the sights in Vegas: 1. Budget your spending money. It is imperative that you decide ahead of time how much money you are willing and able to spend on entertainment. Gambling, shows, souvenirs, attractions, and fine dining all cost money and it is easy to blow the entire amount you have set aside for your vacation in one day. If you have a lot of money to work with, you will want to put it into the hotel safe to further help you stay within your means. 2. Do your research ahead of time to figure out the free or low cost entertainment options. The options are amazing. You will be able to take in the free fountain show at the Bellagio; walk over to the MGM Grand and take a peek into the lions habitat depending on the lions mood they may be up and moving around or interacting with their handlers, which is always an amazing sight; at the Circus Circus there are high wire and acrobatic acts that will perform daily at regular intervals. As you can see, the list of free entertainment options is indeed mind boggling. 3. Seek and find coupons. In Las Vegas, coupons are the travelers best friend! Stop at the visitors center in Nevada, scour the Internet for printable coupons, or ask at the hotels concierge desk for some coupons. The odds are good that you will be able to get two for one meals, free tickets to the car museum, and also free passes for the various assorted memorabilia collections that are being houses at the casinos. These are great ways to spend some gambling free time and in addition will add another dimension to your visit to Sin City that you may have overlooked previously. 4. Drink in the ambience. While gambling is nice, do take the time to do some sightseeing and be amazed at the various themes the casinos offer. Each one is a bit different, and with few exceptions ; usually the older casinos ; the casinos have begun to take on a resort kind of look and feel, complete with shopping mall, high end restaurants, and artwork. 5. Eat, drink and be merry! Las Vegas is home to a large number of culinary must sees that it is sad to see so many people wolf down a lunch or dinner at the local fast food joints. Granted, there is usually a hefty price tag attached to the finer eateries, but even so they are well worth the visit, and when coming to Sin City it would be considered truly a sin to not at least sample of the food the culinary giants offer. 6. Explore the nearby landmarks. The Hoover Dam is a monument that attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year, and they all leave awed by this achievement of architecture and technology. Red Rock Canyon is also nearby, and if you are in the mood for a bit of exercise, this will make for some wonderful hiking, biking, and even rock climbing!
