Las Vegas is known as Sin City, but there are many attractions that can make Vegas a great spot for a family vacation. The many casinos and gambling sites can make it difficult for parents to maintain their concentration on the family. However, there are many events and attractions that make it difficult for vacationing families to think of anything else. The Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur is another show that is free to toddlers, if they are seated on their parents lap during the entire show.

Vegas offers many attractions for children aged eight to 12. Seeing the show of magician Lance Burton at Monte Carlo is a popular attraction for many young children. They may also get a mini history lesson from the Tournament of Kings dinner theater at the Excalibur. Circus Circus is the worlds largest permanent circus, and offers a day of fun for parents and children. Hiking at Red Rock Canyon also gives young children the chance to have fun in Vegas.

The Fall of Atlantis and the Festival Fountain show and aquarium are popular attractions for children at the Forum Shops. Families can also find educational fun by seeing the Bodies...the Exhibition. Bodies . . . the Exhibition gives children the chance to see all of the bodys bones and organs. If Vegas is too much for the family, parents may find it better to take a side trip and view sites such as Hoover Dam.

However, there are some hints that will help parents choose the best hotel for their families. When choosing a hotel for the family vacation, it is best to first consider the hotel location. A great vacation spot may also be the Excalibur, which features Merlins Magic Motion Machines, and the Fantasy Faire midway. The Luxor may be a good choice, for its IMAX Theater and its arcade. Mandalay Bay also offers its Shark Reef, and Circus Circus offers the most kid centric activities than any other hotel in Las Vegas.
